TC-4502 Eddy Current Coating Thickness Gauge Principle: The eddy current coating thickness gauge utilizes a high-frequency magnetic field generated by the probe device,
inducing eddy currents in the conductor beneath the probe. The amplitude and phase of these eddy currents are a function of the thickness of the non-conductive coating between the conductor and the probe.
It enables non-destructive measurement of the thickness of non-conductive coatings on non-magnetic metal substrates (such as paint, rubber, plastic, oxide films, etc., on metals like copper, aluminum, zinc, tin, etc.).
Application Scope:
The TC-4502 Eddy Current Coating Thickness Gauge is used for measuring the thickness of electroplated layers, paint layers, fireproof layers, anti-corrosion layers, enamel layers, aluminum tiles,
copper tiles, Babbitt alloy tiles, phosphating layers, and paper thickness. It can also measure the thickness of paint on ship hulls and attachments on underwater structures.
It is widely used in manufacturing, metal processing, chemical industry, commodity inspection, and other testing fields.

● Employs both magnetic and eddy current measurement methods, allowing measurement of non-magnetic coating thickness on magnetic metal substrates as well as
non-conductive coating thickness on non-magnetic metal substrates;
● Supports multiple probes (F1, F1/90° F10, N1);
● Offers two measurement modes: continuous measurement (CONTINUE) and single measurement (SINGLE); two operating
modes: direct mode (DIRECT) and group mode (A-B);
● Includes five statistical measures: average (MEAN), maximum (MAX), minimum (MIN), number of tests (NO.), standard
deviation (S.DEV);
● Supports single-point and two-point calibration methods for instrument calibration, with basic calibration to correct systematic errors of the probe;
● Storage function: can store up to 500 measurement values;
● Delete function: allows deletion of individual suspicious data during measurement or all data in the storage area,
enabling new measurements;
● Limit setting: automatically alerts for measurements outside set limits;
● Low battery indicator function;
● Audible beep prompts during operation;
● Error prompt function: displays errors on screen or via audible beep;
● Two shutdown modes: manual shutdown and automatic shutdown;
